Shocker! EPIC RECORDS SVP/Promotion and Strategy ERIK OLESEN has exited the label due to restructuring, as has COO MARK SHIMMEL.
OLESEN was officially appointed to the position last MARCH (NET NEWS 3/1/2012), but had been with EPIC since AUGUST 2011. OLESEN’s run at EPIC follows a 12-year run at ISLAND DEF JAM, holding numerous positions on the way to SVP/Promotion. He also spent a dozen years at ELEKTRA RECORDS.Props to All Access Music Group
