Rap Genius is a crowd-sourced Hip Hop lyrics website founded by a trio of Yale graduates. The website has been wildly successful and that success has now been rewarded in the form of a $15 million investment from venture capitalist firm, Adreessen Horowitz. Although the focus of the website is Hip Hop lyrics, it seems like the website’s founders have aspirations outside simply lyric breakdown and into complete website annotation. Kudos to Rap Genius and best of luck with this new opportunity for growth.
