Ms. Badu will officially find herself in the starring role of a film, signing on for the film adaptation of the novel Maker of Saints. This isn’t Badu’s first ever film role but it will probably be her biggest to date. In addition, rumors are flying that the artist formerly known as Mos Def and currently known as Yasiin Bey might be joining. Look for Maker of Saints to hit theaters in 2013.
