Headline: Coachella Per Day Attendance Since 1999
What Happend: When you hear outdoor festival, Coachella is one of the first things that pops into your head. They have grown substantially each year with their line-ups, fan experience and overall attendance. They have become the benchmark for american festivals and a real way to solidify your music from an artist perspective. 80,000 a day over two weekends is A LOT of hard work and determination.

What Happend: Boy I tell ya, when the ball get rolling, it really gets rolling. I love the early stages of an artist career, especially in this age. Someone like Tyler the Creator or Lana Del Ray has every single move documented from start to finish, when they signed, how much they got, when they got a distribution deal, the special performances they played leading up to that moment. I feel like that’s where she is at right now she’s about to embark on a whirlwind of a journey in the next 2 years. Troy Carter is a great fit for her, she has a lot of things going in direction right now with regards to an audience accepting her. The faster she gets her product out there, the better.

Headline: Can Instgrams Mobile-Only Strategy Work For Other Apps?
What Happend: Well we all know what happend. Everyone heard the news about the billion dollar acquisition from Facebook. But clearly there was some interest besides the 30 million users and their photos. The mobile only platform is not really something new, but what they did innovate was having the content living in other places like Facebook and Twitter without having a central database online. Up until the Android launch the platform lived exclusively on the iOS operating system. I think Facebook realizes the potential of the model and wants to take full advantage of it.

Headline: Spotify Inks Deal With Coca-Cola
What Happend: Music has played a strong role for Coca-Cola is the last few years. They have had huge success with the World Cup campaign and K’Naans song Waving Flag. They recently hired Mark Ronson to score a project for their Summer Olympic campaign. He sampled sounds of American athletes training for their sports and turned it into a song being featured in all of their advertising. Not too many details have come from this one yet, but you we can expect these two forward thinking companies to cook up something special.
