It appears some of the artists working with VEVO are accusing the company of pocketing their royalties. Now, VEVO chief executive Rio Caraeff has responded saying that the company is not responsible for contracts artists have signed with record labels/licensing companies prior to working with VEVO. So basically, the labels are getting paid, not the artists. This is nothing new in the music business, artists have been getting the short end of the stick since the beginning. Via Digital Music News
