Something is going on in the Tech world and Apple hasn’t lost a single step. The company reported a $46 billion revenue for the fiscal first-quarter, and of that gigantic number, $13 billion is pure profit. To give some context on the situation, the company sold 37 million iPhone handsets alone in the recent holiday season, a feat no other smartphone has managed to do in a single quarter.
Along with iPhone sales, the company sold over 15 million iPads and another 15 million iPods in that single quarter. Apple is currently estimated to have over $100 billion in cash and marketable securities on hand.
With rumors of the iPhone 5 and the iPad 3, one can only imagine how much more profitable this tech company will become.
