News: @JohnLegend to Executive Produce NBC Comedy Show

John Legend has partnered up with NBC to executive produce Mixed Blessings. It’s a comedy show based around the life of John Legend’s business partner Mike Jackson’s life growing up in Philadelphia. The premise is:

A prominent, black, street-bred hip-hop artist enjoying his single life who discovers that he has a teenage son and decides to connect with him and his white suburban family

It’ll be interesting to see what how the show goes. It sounds kind of close to Fresh Prince, but I’ll need to see a clip before I write it off. Either way, congrats to John Legend. Shouts to HHDX.
