Wow! That’s pretty much all I could say when I saw all of the releases that dropped on the last Tuesday in September. Someone please remind me when they saw a Tuesday this full. There are several top notch projects that dropped this week from North Carolina alone with J-Cole, 9th Wonder, and Phonte. Also, we have Evidence’s strong, second solo offering, DTMD (physical release), J-Live, Blu, The Knux and Cormega are out today, too. Madlib drops off another installment of his Medicine Show series and Doodlebug from Digable Planets serves up a release that is worth the listen. Stepping outside of the Hip Hop realm this week, be sure to check a solid reggae release from Perfect Giddimani and a Stones Throw project from The Stepkids. For all you Nas (Illmatic) and Ehlzi (Elmatic) fans, Will Sessions drops off the well-crafted instrumentals to the Elmatic album that features all of the beats from Illmatic played live.
I’ve included all the links down below for your listening pleasure. If you like what you’re hearing, please feel free to support.
