If you are a fan of hip-hop nostalgia then this should be perfect for you. NYT wrote a story on Lee Owerko and his new book entitled The Boombox Project: The Machines, the Music, and the Urban Underground. The book features photos of boomboxes and talks on the importance of them in the NY scene in the late 70′s to mid 80′s. The book features commentary from Spike Lee, LL Cool J, and members of The Beastie Boys, and The Fugees. You can read the whole story here.
